StreamTech Communications Inc started as the electronics sales and installation department of Streamer's Hardware. Streamer’s Hardware was a family owned and operated retailer serving northern Manitoba since 1928. Changes in the retail landscape and aging owners looking to retire meant that it was time to close the hardware business in July of 2015. The electronics and installation department were solid performers, so the decision was made to create a new business focused on this market. StreamTech Communications Inc. became operational in August 2015.
StreamTech Communications is owned and operated by Scott Streamer. Scott is a licensed low voltage (VDV - Voice, Data, and Video) electrician. He has 10 years experience in the industry. He has certification from Telesat Canada, Xplornet Communications, Bell TV, weBoost (formerly Wilson Electronics), and others. Scott holds a Business Administration diploma, Graduate of Distinction from Assiniboine Community College in Brandon, MB. He has worked in sales and marketing roles at Streamer's Ltd. He developed the electronics sales and installation department from the ground up.
